About Me
Subrata Saha is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University. His primary research interests include rural transformation, agricultural economics, and empirical panel data analysis. His work combines empirical analysis with policy-focused research, with a particular emphasis on developing countries. Throughout his career, Subrata Saha, in addition to his academic contributions, has actively contributed to a wide array of research projects centered on rural transformation, trade, education, and agricultural economics, with a particular emphasis on the contexts of Bangladesh and other developing countries. Additionally, he has collaborated with the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) on a project titled “Understanding the Drivers of Successful and Inclusive Rural Regional Transformation: Sharing Experiences and Policy Advice in Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, and Pakistan.” In this project, he played an important role in preparing various policy documents and contributed to the formulation of flagship policy initiatives on institutions, policies, and investments (IPIs) in the context of Bangladesh.
